Food Safety Systems Assessments

Professionals of the HACCP Consulting Group (HCG) have well over 170 years experience in the food industry to conduct detailed assessments of plant's food safety programs and compliance with both the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. Food Safety System Assessments can be customized to address any or all aspects of a plant's operations.

HCG Food Safety Systems Assessments is not limited to:

  • Determine the conformity of plant's programs with specific regulatory, plant and customer requirements.

  • Determine the effectiveness of the implemented programs in meeting stated or required objectives.

  • Provide written documentation for current or future customers regarding plant compliance with existing programs and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide a detailed, written, narrative food safety assessment report of findings including current regulatory compliance and recommendations for improvement of food safety programs.

HCG Food Safety Systems Assessments of plant programs will include, but is not be limited to:

  • Review of written programs (e.g., HACCP, SSOP, GMP, Prerequisite Programs, Listeria Control) and supporting documentation (e.g., HACCP hazard analysis, microbiological sample results, HACCP Plan validation data).

  • Review of the implementation of food safety programs in the work environment.

  • Review of written production records for compliance with written standards; and identification of deficiencies in either the written or operational aspects of the plant's programs.
